Robson Central
Vancouver, British Columbia

Once home to the main branch of the Vancouver Public Library, this building fell under the watchful eye of the Heritage Building Committee. As such, the main floor had to maintain the visual appearance of the existing structure. Some of the original windows were very large. To maintain the look, and to satisfy today's engineering criteria, AGS had to develop a 7 1/4" vertical mullion. The actual openings were 22ft high and almost 8ft wide.

The 5-storey interior atrium gives a feeling of openness to the inner court and escalator area.

Today this magnificent building is home to VTV and Virgin Records.
